Prepare, Practice, and Evaluate. Ideal for MOC Preparation!
This nine-module study plan has been developed in conjunction with the AAOS Hip and Knee Content Committee to prepare orthopaedic surgeons for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Adult Reconstruction Practice-Profiled Recertification Examination. Select AAOS content aligns with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Adult Reconstruction Recertification Examination Blueprint, making this course not only an essential study tool but also an excellent resource for surgeons interested in obtaining a well-rounded foundation in current orthopaedic hip and knee reconstruction-related concepts.
Participants can review and complete each of the modules at any time and take advantage of hundreds of study questions to stay on track leading up to their examination date. Each module contains:
- Knowledge Check – AAOS board-style self-assessment examination questions specifically selected to address the top-tested content
- Recommended Readings – Full-text PDFs of recent, relevant AAOS book chapters; Instructional Course Lecture chapters; Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons articles; and related literature
- Lecture Presentations – Audiovisual presentations from the AAOS Board Maintenance of Certification Preparation and Review Course, the AAOS Annual Meeting, the Orthopaedic Video Theater, and more
- Study Activity — Digital flashcards to test knowledge and highlight key, testable concepts
- Build-a-Quiz — Create mock quizzes or individualized question banks to reinforce specific content areas
As you track your progress through the structured modules, compare your self-assessment results with others taking the programs and review preferred response explanations. Complete the program week by week, or proceed through the material at your own pace.
In addition, participants can use the “Build-a-Quiz” functionality within the program to develop mock exams or create individualized question banks to reinforce specific content areas. The “Build-a-Quiz” feature is available to participants after they have reviewed each module and completed the program evaluation.
