This webinar will cover introductory aspects of total ankle arthroplasty in advance of the AAOS/AOFAS Orthopaedic Learning Center Ankle Arthritis Course. The viewer will hear four national experts lay the groundwork for the use of ankle arthroplasty as a modern day sophisticated treatment for end stage ankle arthritis. The topics chosen will take the participant from decision making on appropriate intervention (arthrodesis v arthroplasty), through choices in bearing surfaces, and ultimately to decisions on correcting strategizing implantation of the ankle prosthesis. Ample time for questions and cases will be provided to the participant.
