Distal Biceps Tendinopathy
Tendinopathy and partial tears of the distal biceps tendon are uncommon and often overlooked. In patients who have tendinopathy, outcomes of nonsurgical treatment are good. In patients who have a substantial partial tear, outcomes of surgical repair are typically good. Endoscopy facilitates a dynamic visual assessment of the biceps tendon and footprint. Footprint repair restores the anatomic attachment site and likely will restore the normal mechanics and strength of the distal biceps tendon.
