Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty for Proximal Humerus Fractures: Indications, Limits, and Technique
Since proximal humerus fractures were first described in the 1930s, substantial debate and controversy have occurred regarding their most effective management. Much of this controversy stems from the fact that multiple fracture patterns exist, and no single procedure or treatment modality is ideal for all fracture patterns. A substantial postsurgical complication and revision surgery rate has led the push for more effective treatments and defined the surgical procedures that are most effective in managing specific fracture patterns.
