The “Opioid Crisis” persists in the United States, with opioid-related deaths being the most common cause of death of young adults. Moreover, over 130 Americans die daily from opioid-related causes. As such, opioid use disorder is an ongoing problem and patients suffering from it often need Orthopaedic Surgical management. Thoughtful pain management is needed to effectively manage these patients’ peri-operative pain in the setting of opioid use disorder. The expert faculty will provide specialty specific findings that can be readily employed by practicing Orthopaedic Surgeons.
